01 — Sculptural wall art

Not a panel.A sculpture.

Each work is drawn, cut layer by layer and stacked by hand, so the surface carries real depth and moves with the light in the room rather than sitting flat on the wall. Grain, curve and shadow are read across the whole piece — made once, signed, never repeated.

Available works and commissions, scaled to the wall they are made for.

Vertical works,for the narrow wall.

The same layered construction turned upright — for a hallway, a stair return, or the space beside a doorway. Scarlet Rhythm is cut from padauk, whose color is entirely its own.

At full scale the work reads as architecture — shadow shifting across the wall through the day.

02 — Functional art

Art, witha job to do.

The same reading of grain, form and material carries into work made to be picked up every day — cut from the same boards, finished to the same standard.

Kept on the counter, not in a drawer.

Holders, boards and serving pieces are built from stock kept back from the sculptural work — so no two ever come out the same, however carefully we plan them.

03 — The making

One pieceat a time.

Boards chosen in person, cut individually, and worked by hand until the form is right.

Choosing stock at the rack — measured, turned over, put back

It starts at the rack, not at the bench.

A family studio — and the next generation already has the tape measure.

Nothing is outsourced or pressed out in a run, which is why two pieces never come out the same.

Inlay lines are cleaned up by hand rather than sanded flat — the slowest part of the work.
